Description

This collection of essays came out of a conference cosponsored by the Notre Dame Center for Pastoral Liturgy and the Instituto Nacional Hispano de Liturgia during the summer of 2003. The focus of this book is the theological language of the liturgy, especially the language of the Paschal Mystery. The authors make clear that liturgy is the source and summit of the Church's faith life among Hispanics/Latinos. The essays provide insight into the tremendous work taking place among Hispanic/Latino scholars and the contribution they are making to theological discourse in general. They also give evidence of the depth of faith life that is found among Hispanic/Latino Catholics.

In this bilingual resource the essays include: "El lenguaje de la Reforma Litúrgica" by Juan Javier Flores Arcas, OSB "The Language of the Sacraments" by Alejandro García-Rivera "The Language of the Arts" by Jaime Lara "El lenguaje de la cultura" by Dora E. Tobar "The Languages of Faith, Prayer and Religion" by Virgilio Elizondo
