O God, our loving Father, You have given us a beautiful example of love in action through Your daughter, Mother Teresa. In her life, she showed us how to follow Jesus by loving and serving others. She joyfully fed the hungry, rallied for the poor and unwanted, cared for the sick and the dying, and sheltered the homeless. May we imitate her love and generosity by reaching out to Your needy ones. Thank You for the gift of Mother Teresa. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Saint Story:

Mother Teresa, revered as Saint Teresa of Calcutta in the Catholic Church, dedicated her life to caring for the sick and the needy. Born in Macedonia to Albanian-descent parents and having taught in India for 17 years, Mother Teresa experienced her "call within a call" in 1946. Its order founded a hospice; centers for the blind, the elderly and the disabled; and a leper colony.
