Saint Story:

Saint Damien of Molokai also recognized as Saint Damien De Veuster, is known for his sympathy, and spiritual comfort to those suffering from incapacitating and untreatable illnesses. He was a Catholic priest and a member of a missionary religious organization he served as both physician and pastor to the colony. On June 4, 1995, in Brussels, Belgium, Pope John Paul II beatified him and honored him as the patron saint of leprosy sufferers.
