Story Behind the Product

Stanislaus was convicted of treason in 1079. He was found guilty by the royal court and sentenced to dismemberment. Following the execution of Stanislaus, King Boleslaw was forced to flee to Hungary. These events remained a matter of contention amongst those Polish historians who claim that Stanislaus was part of the Bohemian-German conspiracy to remove Bolesław and replace him with Władysław, and those who characterized the execution as a contemptible act of vengeance against a holy bishop who had excommunicated a cruel, licentious king.
