Their journey began with Private Samuel Balistreri's discovery of a relic of the True Cross during the D-Day invasion, a profound event that laid the foundation for a movement of spiritual fortitude.

In 2006, Father Richard Heilman established the Knights of Divine Mercy, calling Catholic men to deepen their faith and embrace the rich traditions of the Church. This mission led to the creation of the Combat Rosary™ in 2012, inspired by the 1916 WWI military-issued rosary. Enhanced with the Miraculous Medal, St. Benedict Medal, and Pardon Crucifix, this powerful sacramental has been embraced by thousands, including military personnel and first responders.

Roman Catholic Gear became a licensee with the Knights of Columbus®, offering an official Knights of Columbus® version of The Combat Rosary™.

Additionally, Roman Catholic Gear supplies The Combat Rosary™ to Combat Rosaries for Heroes (CR4H), a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that provides FREE Combat Rosaries™ to U.S. military personnel, law enforcement, and first responders.
