Story & Symbolism: 

Mother Teresa born under the name Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, she is also known as St. Therese the "Patron Saint of Doubters". She spent her adolescence religiously doing parish activities and traveled between countries expanding the work of the Missionaries of Charity where she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Her mission to her Institute is "to quench the infinite thirst of Jesus on the cross for love and souls" by "laboring at the salvation and sanctification of the poorest of the poor." Mother Teresa was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 19, 2003 and was canonized by Pope Francis on September 4, 2016.
