Story and Symbolism

One of the Mariana Apparitions is Our Lady of Charity, also known as Our Lady of El Cobre. A statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary holding Jesus with "Yo soy la Virgen de la Caridad" (I am the Virgin of Charity) inscribed on the wooden board appeared to ordinary people, one of whom is with the 3 young people in the middle of the stormy sea where the waters calmed and appeared.
