During the Christmas season, an Advent loop or wreath is traditionally made as a centerpiece in homes and churches. As Advent begins, four Sundays before Christmas Day, and each Sunday, one candle is lit.

A purple candle is lit on the first two Sundays of Advent, the first symbolizes the celebration of Hope, and the second to celebrate Peace. The third Sunday of Advent is about the celebration of Joy, the joy that God brings us, and the joy of the coming of Christ's birth. A purple candle is lit on the fourth Sunday of Advent, which symbolizes the celebration of Love, and the eternal and endless love of God for us and to share the love for each and every one.
