Story Behind the Product

St. Francis of Assisi is acclaimed as the patron saint of animals and the environment. He is also considered the pioneering Earth Day advocate. St. Francis of Assisi was a Catholic priest who left a life full of wealth in exchange for a simple life. He ordained the Franciscan Order of Friars and the Women's Order of the Poor Ladies. Later in his life, St. Francis received a vision that left him with the resemblance of Christ's wounds - marks resembling the wounds of Jesus Christ when he was crucified - making St. Francis the first person to receive holy wounds.
