Story and Symbolism

St. Roch's reputation was recognized by having performed various healing and miracles all over his life. His identity was also known by a birthmark red cross on his chest and generally portrayed holding a clapper and pictured with a dog. Born from a rich family in Montpellier and eventually dispersed his wealth among the poor.
