Story & Symbolism:

The name St. Raphael means "God has healed," together with Michael and Gabriel. He is one of seven Archangels who stand before the Lord's throne and one of the only three mentioned by name in the Bible. The biblical story claims that he was the angel who healed the earth when the fallen angels' sins corrupted it. Disguised as a human, Raphael refers to himself as "Azarias the Son of the Great Ananias."
