Story and Symbolism:
Nowadays, Saint Michael, the Archangel is recognized as a patron saint of warriors and travelers. He was summoned for our security particularly from a fatal adversary and on various events. In the year 590, Saint Michael showed up to signified the end of the plague. In the Spring of 1994, our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, urged the faithful to offer the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. He also made the strong suggestion that the recitation of the prayer is instituted at Mass once again.
