An amazingly crafted and carefully painted "Sleeping St. Joseph" figurine inspired by the well-renowned artist Michael Adams is Pope Francis' favorite. He brought a statue of this in Argentina to keep near his room where he writes his prayer requests to the saint on paper and puts these underneath the statue. This is a quite symbolic position of the Gospel: it was during his sleep that an angel of the Lord communicates with St. Joseph.
