In 1872, Our Lady came to Bartolo Longo near the ancient city of Pompeii, which had been buried centuries before by the explosion of Mount Vesuvius. She guaranteed that the Rosary and its dissemination would lead to salvation. Bartolo renovated a church, evangelized the villagers, and purchased an image of Our Lady of the Rosary for the church. The Lord performed miracles there, attracting people to the church, which is now a Marian shrine. May we, like Blessed Bartolo Longo, find Jesus' serenity and salvation through Rosary prayer.
